Updates...

	06/21/2008-Well I finally took my car down to the track this weekend. I ran a best of 12.8@110mph on all motor. Now I just need to figure out the nitrous...user error I have a feeling. I need to get my 60' times down from 2.0-2.1 to the 1.6 range! Time for new sticky tires! 04/07/2008-This winter has been pretty busy for me. I installed a "painless wiring harness", complete nitrous system, a-pillar gauges for the nitrous system, MSD retard box for the nitrous, and a new stereo system with 2 10" subs. I just updated a few pages with some info on how some stuff has worked out for me. I put the updates in orange so they should be easy to find! This summer should be a good one. Me and a few buddies have some pretty quick cars so we should get some good video and pictures of us ripping it up! 08/08/2007-I would have updated sooner but my computer was on the fritz and wouldn't let me upload anything to the site. I had to reload everything on to my computers hard drive to fix it too! The car is on the road and all back together! It's running pretty good too. I ordered a tune from www.pcmforless.com just to get it rolling but now I will be doing the tuning with TunerCat and my LM1 wideband o2. Right now its running rich and I'm sure the timing is on the safe side too. I think I can easily pull 30HP out of it as it sits. Should be a good learning experience! 07/02/2007-Well it's finally painted! Over the next few days I will be uploading new pics and maybe a video walk around of the car. Now I just have to put the car back together and then start enjoying it! Oh and I also bought new rims, 18x7.5 for the front and 18x9.5 for the rears! Pics soon to come! 04/01/2007-I just loaded up some pictures of my cold air intake set up on the "LT1 & T56 page 2". Body work is really coming along. The whole car is now in it's first coat of primer. I have to block sand the whole thing now and then do another coat of primer. Hopefully I will be ready for paint within a month, should be sooner but I'm giving myself some cushion! 01/22/2007- The whole site has been updated for easier viewing(atleast I think so) and a lot of old usless info has been removed. I tried to condense it to only things that are usefull to the swap. Body work has really come around in the last two months! I just finished up my custom 3 piece spoiler on the rear and now I just have to finish up the front fenders and sand the fiberglass and it should be ready to primer! Won't be long now before it's in paint jail! 12/10/2006- Its been a few months since I did any sort of update. It's been a slow moving proccess with the body work. I am actually almost done. I am getting a new camera for Xmas so I should have some nice new pics up soon. 04/17/2006- I primered my first body panel last night! I did my hatch piece first. I am actually starting to get the hang of this body work crap! LOL Doesnt mean I like it though. I will have to post a pic soon. I also built a new paint booth that is much better than the one had before. Its actually pretty nice for a garge booth! I have pics of that too that I will have to post up! 10/13/2005- I started sanding the car down last night. I am using a DA sander with some 180 grit sand paper. So far so good! I know I am going to learn a lot about how to get a car ready for paint. Body work is not nearly as natural to me as mechanical stuff is so it could be interesting! See the body page for some more pictures. 09/28/2005- Tonight I got my shop ready to start the body work. I am going to build a small paint booth and then start the sanding next week. I dont think I will have too much trouble with the body because it is 99.9% rust free and it is very straight. I just have to fill in a few dings and dents. I also finished installed the "peel and seal" that I am using as a sound deadener. See the body page for a few pics. I have more pics but I didnt get a chance to upload them on my computer yet. 09/22/2005- Wow has it been a long time since I did an update! A lot has happened in the last few months. First I finished installing the fuel system. With the new MSD fuel pump and Mallory fuel filter I feel that I know have a fuel system that can keep up with my fuel demands. Next I installed an MSD 6AL ignition box and Blaster 2 coil. Now for the fun part...After getting all the new parts in and the engine back in I started it up for the first time in quite some time and found out that the new flywheel is not balanced correctly for my engine. It must have been balanced to the OEM specs and not neutral balanced. So the tranny will be coming back out this weekend and I will have that balanced. I also still have the knocking noise that I thought was clutch chatter. Although the noise is not as bad as it was it is still there. I am not sure what it is yet but when the tranny is out I will take a closer look at it and I might open it up to take a closer look. This has been a none stop battle with this noise and I just want to fix it once and for all! I am going to be starting the prep/primer work for my car very soon and then I will have someone else paint it for me. I just dont trust myself to anything more than the prep work. If it was a solid color I think I would paint it myself but the House of Kolor paint is kind of tricky to paint with for a newbie painter. Since I took vacation all week to start the prep work on my car I will have some time to add some updated pictures! 05/30/2005- I am in the proccess of reinstalling the drivetrain. I have my new clutch/flywheel set up going in and the small crack in the tranny has been welded. It should be remounted by next weekend. Then I will be wiring up the new engine harness and getting it ready to run again. I have also decieded to start on the body work myself. I will be doing the prep work as far as attaching the body kit and getting the car into primer. 02/12/2005- The new fuel system is almost complete. I have a MSD fuel pump, 3/8" alluminum hard line, -6AN SS braided hoses and -6AN 37* fittings, along with a Mallory cartridge sytle fuel filter. I will be adding the info for the fuel system to the Cooling & Plumbing page. 01/15/05- Wow it sure has been a while since I did an update! Well I am switching over my LT1 from the speed density system to the MAF system on the 94+ LT1's. The main reason for this is so that I can tune my own car with TunerCat software. I didnt like the programming job that I had done by a "Professional". I wont name names but I'll just say I would rather be able to fine tune my car than have a ok tune. So I am swapping out the 93' harness with computer for a 95' harness and computer. I will also have to swap a few sensors like the O2's and the IAC motor and install a MAF. I am using just a stock harness that I am in the process of modifying, which by the way is VERY easy if you have a subscription to "ALLDATA online." There is no way that I would ever pay for a painless harness now that I see just how simple it is to edit a factory harness! Trust me its a lot easier than everyone says! Oh and I just picked up a SPEC STAGE 3 CLUTCH (with 200 miles on it) and a Alluminum Fidanza flywheel(NEW!) for $450 for the whole set! Talk about a good deal! That flywheel alone is $450+! So this had better take care of my clutch chatter problem I had with that shitty centerforce dual friction set up! I am also going to update the fuel system too before I reinstall the drivetrain. I am still waiting to have my car painted by my brother? Not too sure on a date yet for that? 11/01/04- I just got done reinstalling the rear suspesion after I removed all of it to prime and paint it. I painted all of it the same color as the engine bay pieces, blue and black(seen on the body & wheels page). I am now coating the underside of the car with the same bedliner product as used in the engine bay. You can see a pic of it on the R200 page! I am also in the process of upgrading the fuel system. I am going to run a cartrige sytle filter and run AN fitting and lines from filter the fuel rail. I will be using an MSD fuel pump and Im not sure if I will have to replace the hard lines yet. I have to see what size they are. 10/15/2004- I just updated the Body & Wheels page with pics of the engine bay treatment! 10/14/2004- Against everyones advice I deceided to redo my engine bay with bedliner, instead of repainting it the color that will be used for the whole car. I went this route because I was so sick and tired of chipping and scratching the paint in the engine bay from working on it. My car is not a garage queen(well it is now but it wont be once its painted) nor is it a trailer queen. I work on my car because I enjoy it and I know I will be modifying the engine even more sooner or later so there would have been more scratches and chips again. Yeah it wont look as nice but atleast it wont get scratched or chipped! Even if it did I could easily touch it up. I will be posting pics on the body/paint page as soon as I have the engine bay back together. I also am going to replace the clutch whh while I have the engine/tranny combo out. Its much easier this way that pulling the tranny when its in the car. I will be gowith a billet steel flywheel and either a SPEC stage 2 or stage 3 clutch. This seems to be the popular choice for F-Body guys. 09/15/2004- Well I am now in the process of disassembling the car to get it ready for paint. I am also going to be removing the engine/tranny combo so that the engine bay can be painted again but this time along with the body so it will match perfectly. I am really not looking forward to taking my car down to bare bones but I know it has to be done if I want a really nice paint job! I have been getting much better at launching the car and my 1/4 mile times are really improving (G-Tech). I cant wait to get it down to the track! 08/15/2004- I finally cleaned up the wiring behind the main dash cluster and installed two 6-way connectors so that I can remove the main cluster when I need to so that I dont have to remove the whole dash to do it! I also cleaned the front of the cluster by covering it in leather. See the gauges page for more info! 6/07/2004- My car has been down for about a week now due to the fact that my 24 year old power steering lines finally gave out.
